An American Airlines flight leaving from Los Angeles came across a frightening engine malfunction Wednesday morning, however two aircraft mechanics onboard state the emergency situation landing was suddenly calm and regulated.

The aircraft, Flight AA 1665, from Las Vegas to Charlotte, North Carolina, experienced a sudden rise of triggers and smoke shortly after takeoff.

" We took off, and as quickly as the pilots put the get ready, it was like pop, pop, pop over and over," Paige Mitchell, an aircraft mechanic in Las Vegas, informed Fox 5. "You might type of see like orange and yellow, like glowing, like every time you hear the pop."

Michael Lockett, a fellow traveler and Flying force veteran with years of experience dealing with military airplane, stated the sound was right away identifiable and worrying.
